Khiva is a museum city, one of the most important trade centers of the Silk Road. It was founded more than 2500 years ago, according to a legend, the city was founded around a well, which was dug by order of Sim, son of biblical Noah. You can still see this well in Ichan Qala. When you come here, it is as if you will move by time machine into the atmosphere of the ancient east.
