Khorezm is an ancient region and state, founded inVIIcentury BC. The great Silk Road passed through Khorezm. Many civilizations are associated with this region and are rightly considered a real treasure trove of archaeological fortresses scattered on the border with the Kyzylkum desert. Many fortresses are more than two thousand years old and time has not spared them at all, clay walls were blurred and covered with sand, and only the foundation was left from small structures.
During the tour you can see really ancient fortresses, feel like a strategist of defense and a real archaeologist. Khorezm region is not very popular among tourists, but after visiting Khiva, you should visit this ancient region as well.
