The city of Termez is one of the oldest cities in Uzbekistan, it is about 2,500 thousand years old, and is also the southernmost city and borders with Afghanistan. From the time the city was founded until today, it has been conquered many times by various civilizations that have left their mark after themselves. So the city originates in the Achaemenid state, after which it was conquered by Alexander the Great, then the city was renamed Demetris, then it is part of the Greek-Bactrian state.
