Overview

Shakhrisabz – founded around VIII century BC in the era of the state and civilization of Sogdiana. This is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the hometown of Amir Timur (Tamerlan) – the legendary founder and ruler of the Timurids.

During the tour you will visit the ruins of Ak-Saray palace, a real masterpiece of medieval architecture, which took a quarter of a century to build the city. You will also visit the burial vault of Amir Timur Jahongir’s beloved son and the memorial complex Dor-Ut Tilovate, founder of Sufism, Shamsiddin Kulal.

Our guide and driver will meet you at any hotel in Samarkand at your convenience.
